If you wait long enough you can always get more when selling... sure, low-balling is a pain but when I sell used equipment I just read right past any ridiculously low offers and I will simply reply with "Sorry, the price is firm." if the offer is anywhere near being close but still too low for me to take.

I can honestly say I dont recall seeing yours, or anyone elses complaint about the sig in question. We take everyone's reported posts seriously. Quit playing a victim here SM, it doesn't become you. If you think you are being singled out and treated unfairly, you are welcome to find another forum to frequent. Frankly, you are generally a pita around here and we get complaints about you regularly. I usually dont have a problem with you, and even find you to be amusing often. But when you start trying to undermine the moderation staff here by playing some sort of victim, I have to speak up and call a spade a spade.

Remind me who it is that has the sig in question, and I will request that he change it. I will expect that to be the end of this 'the mods are out to get me' attitude. Thanks.

I quit caring about your nonsense a long time ago. Even though to be technical, your post is a violation of the rules.

Just curious, what exactly is it about that pic thats a violation?. I honestly dont see it. Its not indecent or ******.....I cant say its partial ****** unless you are classifying any picture showing bare skin from the neck down as partial ****** which if thats the case then its a bit much. Last I checked this isnt a muslim forum lol. Seriously though, I am quite curious about your opinion on this.

Since nobody PM'd me or replied here to remind me who has that sig, I will simply have to wait until I see it again and ask that member to change it.

As for the pic, there is some gray area as to what exactly constitutes partial ******. Its a tough thing to nail down exactly what is and is not a violation of that rule, so we basically have to address it on a case by case basis. I think MoT was simply trying to communicate that we mods try to be lenient on such rules unless the questionable pic/sig/whatever causes problems. Yes, some pics are obvious violations and we have to delete them when we come across them (any actual ******, or something that is very close to ******). Those are the pic that tend to get people infractions or bans, because again, its an obvious rule violation. But some pics ride that line between acceptable and not, and again at least for me I try to be fair and delete them only if they cause a commotion. Those types of pics we usually dont ban people for, we simply delete them. We dont want to ban anyone here, we just want the rules to be followed, I think that's a reasonable request by us.

I think the best way to not force us to get too strict about the partial ****** rule is for members of the community here to not attempt to push the limits of what is acceptable. If you think it might be considered partial ******, please act responsible and simply do not post it. We mods do not want to be any more strict than we have to be. But we also have an obligation to enforce the rules as we interpret them. So again, just help us out with that gray area and leave those types of pics off the forum. There are plenty of places on the net to see skin, Goob has decided this is not an appropriate place to see it, so we abide by his wishes as best we can.

I do know that an 18+ section has been discussed before. It was discussed before I became a mod so I dont know exactly what the outcome was, but clearly Goob feels its best to just avoid that type of content on this site. It is, after all, a site dedicated to car audio, not porn. Id be more understanding of the desire to post those pics here if 2 out of every 3 sites on the internet weren't already dedicated to porn. But they are, and plenty are free of charge, so Goob's stance seems pretty reasonable to me.

No, kids usually are not offended by ******. Quite the opposite. But that's not exactly justification for exposing them to it. This is a family oriented site (as in people of all ages are welcome here), so it seems like common sense that we have to draw the line at not allowing ******.

If a kid wants to get on the net and look at nipples and muff, they have plenty of places to go do so. This site isn't one of them. I know you aren't suggesting otherwise, only saying this to clarify Goob's stance.

Also keep in mind guys, the purpose of this site is to have serious conversations about car audio (serious including 'fun' in this context). If some potential new member comes here to read up and subwoofers or amplifiers, and wanders into the off topic section only to find a bunch of 14 year olds posting pics of ***** women, that potential new member is not likely to view this site as a very serious car audio venue. In short, not only is there a moral issue here, there is one of keeping the site reputation and appearance on track, reasonable, and respectful to people of all ages and beliefs. Except the people who believe we should expose kids to porn here, I suppose.

Well porn is one thing.....but women in a bikini should be fine. Thats like going to the beach and telling everyone to put their clothes on cuz "someone" could get offended.....

An 18+ section would be fine to an extent. Want to post raunchy porn then go elsewhere.....but a nude or topless pic would be one thing. Also, a pic of a woman with a top that you can kinda make out a nip or something also should be fine. I mean **** anyone whos watched tv has probably seen a celeb or two with a shirt that shows alot more. Im talking your basic channels that kid friendly...

I appreciate that you have your own opinion of what should be acceptable, just as I have my own. But the fact of the matter is, Goob owns this site, and so its his opinion that matters. I think Ive already explained why I feel his opinion is reasonable, so I wont get into that again.

IIRC, Goob owns multiple porn sites in addition to ca.com, so I doubt he's a mormon.
