Faking the accident afterward saves he and his wife from the embarrassment that is domestic abuse

The crap doesnt make sense...break the back window in an escalade and pull him out? If she was in a pnic to save him why does she have a club in her hand? Why not just open the door? It isn't like the car was in flames or something.
