Tickets FTL :(

I was in a rush to get to northern Florida a few months ago and got caught doing 96 in a 70... The day before (literally) I got caught doing 62 in a 40 a few blocks from home.

I went to my family's lawyer with the 62 in a 40 and it was dropped, just paid the lawyer $50 and no points or nothing. He couldn't help me for the ticket I got in Orlando because he didn't go up there, so I went to the Ticket Clinic.

Paid them $100 and they said no points guaranteed. I talked to them a month ago and they told me when they were appearing in court on my behalf and that it shouldn't be a problem...

Just got a letter in the mail saying I had received no points, but I have to pay the $240 ticket and do 8 hours of traffic school //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Sucks... bad time to ask for my time/money.

I have until March though... so it's all good. Just ranting.

$240 for 26 over isn't bad. And I know how you feel, I've never had a regular speeding ticket. Every one I've gotten has been reckless 20+. Had to do the defensive driving class too. Sucks balls. I never got a speeding ticket until I moved here, 6 since.

You got off easy with that...

25 over the limit here is take you to jail, tow and impound your car, fines, jail time, and a court date.

You got what we pay for a regular 5 over ticket...

Quit your complaining and bitching...you are the one that was speeding.

Re-read the post. Re-read it again, and again.
Then tell me where I said speeding was okay and that I hate the police for writing me a ticket or anything....

I created the thread for the purpose of ranting, and my only complaint was that they're asking for money at a bad time.

Re-read what I typed...agian, and again...then realize that just as you are allowed to "rant" (bitch and complain) I am allowed to state the obvious...

You were speeding...You should have KNOWN that you would have consequences. You saying that it was a bad time...that is BS, you should have been saving since the day of the ticket.

Just letting you know from my past experiences with speeding...I have plenty of tickets, but my record is now clean **Knocks on wood**

Nope... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

That would require a moderator...I am off duty. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Game on!!

Mine is getting back to normal now. Most of the time, when I'm in a rush and want to go fast, I tell myself is the few minutes I'm going to save worth a couple hundred of my dollars and possibly a day off of work which will cost more money? Or worse, my licence/job since my job requires me to drive. It's worked so far.

lol, I just don't have the time to argue about it... but if game's on...

It was my second ticket, the first ticket I paid the lawyer and it disappeared, figured I could do it with my second ticket and it back-fired. Hence, why I didn't save for the ticket from day one.

I don't understand why you're coming at me as if I was saying how the tickets were BS and that I didn't deserve them, but oh well.

Definatly a good way to think about it.

I still have issues with my lead foot, but driving a truck makes it easier to not speed now. Plus my main gain is that the only real time I drive now is in rush hour to work and home. I used to love to drive (hence all the tickets, from spending all my time in car), now I hate it cause its always sop, go, stop, go...F Dallas traffic.
