1200watts rms. 2000 peak. 3" peak to peak excursion, but how do they sound. Is it sq sub or spl. Whould it good for ported or sealed app. Daily drive or competition. ANy help would be good b4 i droped 400$ into a new sub. I want it for daily driving and an all around sql enclosure.

They are sql woofers. They will perform well in either box. It likes to see around 1500-2000 for best results. You can also buy the spl cone for it if your wanting to run it in comps. Its a performer for sure. They can actually be had for a little over 300 on ebay with a warranty.

sweet. the plan for the box is a 3cu.ft. box tuned to about 30hrz in an expedition running off a directed 1500d

Ide do it in about a 2.25 cubic foot box, and tune it around 32-34, but thats just me. People have had a little better luck with the 2.25 range. It should sound great in that car.

I ran this sub for a year in a ported box off a tantrum 1200.1

This sub is a great SQL sub very loud SPL wise also but the depth on the sub is what made me sold it. But yeah I say feed the sub at least 1500 watt RMS.
