the first version works fine, but there was a minor flaw with the slot port displacement calculator. I also fixed the round port displacement calculator to take into account the thickness of typical PVC. all displacement calculators assume 0.75 in. mdf. someone put this program on http://www.realmofexcursion.com, and i will see if i can get the updated version to them. But for now, heres what you write in your calculator:

do you really need a calculator for a sealed box? come on now.
just for reference:

[external H - 2(wood thickness)] x [external W - 2(wood thickness)] x [external D - 2(wood thickness)] / 1728

no im retarded //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif i meant slot ported not sealed ive made plenty of sealed boxes

I noticed you did it for 3/4 mdf right?

Let's test it out to see if we get similar answers......

port length:

freq. 33hz

port area: 4x10 (40sq. in.)

Vol: 5.0 cu. ft.

I got 14.5?

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...

While that program is pretty neat, it assumes you know the values. I was just recapping the numbers you provided. RS recommends the following...

Whoa, that will be one skinny port. The width of the back wall ports will be 1.08" wide (27.5mm), but the front port will be shared by 2 subs so...
