Thunder 9500

I have two batteries in my 2002 ext. cab duramax diesel.

Having:

two MTX 15" Thunder 9500 series subwoofers

two MTX Thunder 1501D amplifiers

one MTX Thunder 404 amplifier

memphis and lanzar mids/highs

and a JVC competition head unit

should I need an upgrade in my electrical system, or a cap., or another battery, or will I be fine with the two batteries that I already have under the hood?

problem is this........as said before W7 dumax verified 9500MTX verified. i'm sorry but they are not as good as a W7 in any aspect except maybe for SPL purposes. although i've seen a pair of W7's with 6kw split for SPL burps before so they can take abuse. ohh and to answer your electrical question i'd upgrade the alt if i was you bro 2 batteries won't do anything for ya while driving. may i ask why lanzar speakers??

Nothing at all revolutionary about its design, whereas the JL has how many patents?

DUMAX Xmax and claimed are two different ballgames. I'd like to see if the 9500 has 10% more xmax than the longest stroke subwoofer on the planet. As well, I don't see a comparison regarding Sd.

So far it's all number claims that are not third party verified, and as we all (should) know, numbers don't mean a whole hell of a lot when it comes to listening.

BAH YOU LIAR!! we all know that #'s on a sheet mean everything and accurate machines designed to test those #'s and falsify them or make them true without a shadow of a doubt are crap!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif although the dumax machine still won't tell you what it'll sound like just test the company on accurate #'s and such.

I think what Denim is trying to say is by looking at the SPECS it is a better sub. just the Specs nothing else. Obviously many of us havent heard the MTX so we cant say its better

I chose Lanzar for my rear 4"x 6" because I just wanted something that would work decently. Did that answer your question or were you asking something else?

Upgrading to a 200A alt should cost no more than $360, I believe.

maybe you guys didnt read what i posted before. I have heard the 9500, and i have metered them. Not impressed at allllllllllllllllll to say the least. oh and as far as them being compared to the w7, lets look at the fine print here. Look very closely at how the 10w7 and 109500 are what is compared. why do you think that is? Because they dont want to tell you what happened when the compared the 12 and the 15s (13s). when the MTX rep came by my shop, i asked him to level with me, and he did. He said that those two sizes blew away the mtx in EVERY aspect, so that is what they decided to compare the 10. Make sense now? I mean im no JL lover, i mean i just took them out of my car because i didnt like them, but it gets old when people hate and JL because they are defiatenly one of the best. I dont care about what all that shit on paper says, because in the end doesnt it boil down to what it sounds like? Not tryin to burst your bubble kid, just lettin you know what my experience with them has been, since you asked....good luck

as have I and havoc neither of us were impressed. and like both he and i said the W7 12" blew the living shit off the 9500 10". oh and a 200 amp alt shouldn't cost him 360 bucks not even from dom.

I am not saying that I am rooting for either sub, I am just saying by the specs, I would really like to hear the MTX now
