thumping noise when turning off?????

Cant you put like a resistor inline with the switch to keep the pops out? I think some dude around where I live did that... I dunno :-D

My old amp used to do that. It pissed me off and I never got it fixed, but after I got my new amp, it hasn't done it since. I think it has one of those "soft turn on/off" things.

 
OMG this question has been asked sooooo many times on this board. Use the search feature and you will find a thousand answers to this, and one that has some links to some filters specifically made to fix all different types of turn-on/off problems.

How could you not come up with something in a search about turn-off thump (see below)? There is nothing up my butt (lovely reference) except impatience for lazy people who insist on asking the same questions over and over.
