Hey guys I'm new to the forum and well apparently car audio in general haha you all are geniuses. Anyways, I currently have an '08 Toyota Camry SE (Says it has 6 speakers? i guess 2 count as tweeters? not sure). What I would like to get out of the audio system would mainly be Sq but definitely have some sound behind it, i listen mainly to rock/metal.
So what i was thinking:
Head Unit: Was thinking Eclipse CD3414 but seems a little on the lower end.. so looking for some suggestions for a good SQ HU for around 200! I guess I can buy stuff new off ebay or somewhere for a cheaper price as that seems to be the smartest route with car audio equipment.
Speakers: Polk Momo MM6501 ( 125W RMS, 2.7 ohm, $199. I'm really convinced on getting these, composite too! They're also praised for clarity and the reviews I've read are nothing short of satisfactory)
Amp: Crescendo 1000C4 (125Wx4 at 4 ohms) $240 new on their site but I'm betting I could find it cheaper on ebay or another site. Open to suggestions for an amp as I think this one is a good choice but I'm not positive.
I plan to only replace the front speakers, so does that mean i just leave the rear speakers running off the stock amp and don't mess with them?
For the sub (10 inch) i wanted to stay around $200 no more than 230. I only need a 4 channel amp correct? just run the fronts on the amp and bridge the sub? So with the Crescendo 1000C4 would i need a sub that requires 250W RMS if i bridged the sub?
Lastly, can anyone give me an estimate on how much a car audio shop would charge to install everything?
Thanks guys! Rock on
