I have recently started researching skar subs, and the ZVX-15v2 seems to fit the bill for my system. Thoughts on it? I am after SPL, and am also very strongly considering a incriminator death row 15
the v1s sound pretty good and get loud in smaller boxes with lower tuning. I'd contact them and get the SPL surround over the megaroll.I have recently started researching skar subs, and the ZVX-15v2 seems to fit the bill for my system. Thoughts on it? They are good subs. I am interested in them as well and would realy like to try on but dont want to spend the money lmao... I would actually rather try the Zvx 18. The Zvx seems to perform in smaller enclosures well. The Zvx18 calls like 5.25 cubes which is kinda small for a 18.I have recently started researching skar subs, and the ZVX-15v2 seems to fit the bill for my system. Thoughts on it? my buddy actually has a zvx 18 in a 4.3 net cubic foot enclosure tuned to 34hz and on an audiopipe 1500, that thing slams and sounds clean and hits lows easy. I'd say 140 to mid 140 range in an explorer. Really did not expect it to actually perform in a box that small but it was a competition box built by a team skar audio member. They are good subs. I currently have a Incriminator Death Penalty 15 which is a great sub. But its a bit on the power hungry side lol. I have a Soundstream Ta.3kw wire at .7 ohm and dont get me wrong it sounds really good but i think i could get alittle louder with a alittle more efficient sub. After rise the sub might see 1500 rms maybe. So i think a sub like a Sundown ZV3 or Skar ZVX would perform alittle better for me IMO
jeez 4.3 cubes net? The smallest i have done with a DC XL 18 and it did surprisingly well. I had a Hyundai Santa Fe and i did 4.75 cubes net i believe with 1 8" sonotube port with a shark2500. It really impressed me, it did 146 @ 36hz sealed on the dash at a Iasca show in IDBL. Not sure how that happened but i guess i was close to spot on with the design of box lolmy buddy actually has a zvx 18 in a 4.3 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 34hz and on an audiopipe 1500, that thing slams and sounds clean. yeah its an 8 inch sonotube as well lol. Only short coming of his box is anything over 60hz is nonexistent like a complete pitfall of emptiness. Didnt really gain much of anything other than slightly more lows when we inverted the sub so around 4.5 cubes net tuned to 33hz. Actually lost loudness overall other than lows.jeez 4.3 cubes net? but i am really am debating trading my IA 15 for a ZV3 15. I have redone box and yes my IA performs much better yet still seems like it lacks on the power end. Also i think the ZV3 would perform well in my current boxmy buddy actually has a zvx 18 in a 4.3 net cubic foot enclosure tuned to 34hz and on an audiopipe 1500, that thing slams and sounds clean and hits lows easy. never know until you experiment.but i am really am debating trading my IA 15 for a ZV3 15. I have redone box and yes my IA performs much better yet still seems like it lacks on the power end. Also i think the ZV3 would perform well in my current box
i know lol... The only down is the ZV3 is a Dual 2 so i would be wired to 1 ohm vs the IA 15 is wired to .7ohm. In reality that is not really much of a difference lolnever know until you experiment.
