Thoughts on Eclipse CD3200

Hey badloser, have you gotten your CD3200 to display the full filename when playing from a USB drive?

no not yet but yesterday the cd got jamed in the player and wont eject. I will be pulling it out and sending it to eclipse customer service for repair...

I have the CD3200 and I love it. Bluetooth feature is cool (although sometimes you echo when speaking to others with the volume up at higher volumes). Sound q on this headunit is great.

So I just picked up this unit, so far its great except for one thing:
The CD3200 seems to only read the first 8 characters of the filename when playing music from the USB drive. So for instance, if I put a file called "Incubus - Warning.mp3" on the USB stick from my computer, when I play the song on the CD3200 it only reads "INCUBU~1.mp3" instead of the full filename. When I put the same file on a CD the CD3200 reads the full filename.

Is anyone else having this problem? I've tried 2 different thumb drives and formatted, tried renaming files, etc but nothing seems to work. Maybe I got a faulty unit?

Hi. I've recently bought this unit, and I'm very dissapointed with the display, and also the 8 character thing when playing mp3 from usb sticks.

Hope this has a solution.

I bought this CD player and I hate it.

The sound quality is great but the features and functions are just awful. Nothing is user friendly. The volume scrolls to slowly when using the remote. Screen is hard to see in daylight. The buttons feel cheap and don't seem to respond unless you push exactly right. The USB function sucks because you have to scroll through every song and cannot go through each album.

Stay Away if you can.

Good thing I saw this. I was considering one for my grand prix because I can change the buttons to red. (I love the red display throughout the car, and putting in a blue HU would look tacky IMO).

I'll stay away and look elsewhere.
