Thoughts about competing

I have a profile AP1000m on the way and a 16KV.2 but for now i only have about 250 watts to pust it with. Well theres a comp in my area in about a week or so. So i go tell my mom about it and she likes the idea and i told her that theres no way im going to place unless my amp comes in before for the comp and even then its still not a high possibility. She tells me if i think like that im not going to win... im like Im pretty sure your train of thought has nothing to do with what score you put up. I think im going to compete if i get the new amp but I still think i wont break 138-140 since i have no experience competing. Is there any tips on tracks or songs to use and how loud do you crank it up on a burp..louder than youd ever turn it up for daily.

what's your box tuned to? Consider a higher tuning (38-45hz) for competitions.

my box is tuned to low 30s and i hit 144.7 legal today, its all in the box design...

Ive got my box tuned to 30 hz. Oh yeah i forgot to mention that this is in a diahatsu rocky(like a geotracker with hardtop) so i have a good bit of cabin gain i think, and what about some good test tracks and bass music for some numbers.

only way ur gonna be able to put up decent numbers with 250watts is a new bigger, higher tuned box.

i have no idea how the convert would respond to tuning though, be interesting

About that 250 watts, I have a ~500 watt rms amp coming in before the comp. well im at least 98% sure.
