What is the best thing to use to connect the wires together. I was looking at AQ's website and it showed using wing nuts to connect the wires, the only thing that worries me about that is in a high vibration area they will come loose. So what is the best thing to connect the wires? Also the sub has 10awg wiring for the terminals do i need to use 10awg speaker wire when i wire it up?

you could just solder it and use heatshrink wrap on it, or you could buy 10 guage male and female connectors from radioshack... if it were me, i would run 10ga wiring, but its really up to you

I was told that soldering would give me the worst connection and plus i have to worry about desoldering them when i want to wire them a different way.

I am sort of new to this so what is the difference between male and female connectors? And y do i need to get both of them?

i use big *** blue wire nuts. they have never come apart. i guess you could use electrical tape OVER that to make sure.

think of it like having ***... the male goes into the female... the male has a flat that slides inside the female connector and is held there

The best connection is with wire nuts. You can get them at any hardware store and they can be used over and over. They twist on and will not vibrate off. You can tape over the wire nut if you are worried about vibriation. They will give you a copper-copper connection. The next best connection is simply stripping the wires about an inch and twisting the ends together and tape.
