I'm about to purchase a 1500d from a guy off here that is local to me. I was just wondering what it takes to run this thing at .5 ohm.

My electrical will be:

Stock 140a alternator, Big 3 done

Powermaster D3100 battery for the front

Powermaster D680 for the back

Is there any reason that i wouldnt be able to run the 1500 at .5 ohm daily?

0 ga wiring?

You should be good, just keep your eyes on your voltage.

Yeah, kicker 1/0 throughout my car.

I would run it at 1 ohm, but my subs are both dual 2. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Its between the 1500d, or a zx1500.1, which is currently sitting in my closet.

why not use the zx? Less strain on your electrical, practically identical power, and you already have it?...seems like a no-brainer to me.
I've always loved sundown, and I have the sundown banner on my truck. I feel as if sundown is a higher quality product too.

If your voltage doesn't drop to much, I'd say go with the sundown for a little more power. But I don't know if I'd buy brand new. This is because if your voltage does drop badly - you will need to do something to keep it up ($$$), or use the zx and sell the sundown then losing $$$. But you should be fine with your electrical.

kicker makes its power @2ohm and is not 1ohm stable. But you can run the kicker @2ohm. by running the subs in a series-parallel config.
