the belt had a warranty too so i got that replace but yeah it ***** man. they better make it right. still think im going to go with a singer 320a 6 stage hairpin and regualte it to 15v or i may get a ohio generators alt. not sure yet

Over-charging batteries is a very fast way to destroy them. I'd be contacting the manufacturer to see what they consider safe before trying to regulate about 14.8.

My bone stock Chevy S-10 alt was cranking out about 15.4v at a cold idle with nothing more than upgraded wiring... My 96' Grand Prix would only do about 14.7v at a cold idle with a brand new alt, and batts, & wiring... So yeah that does seem to be a lil bit high for stock I guess, now that I think about it LOL You don't IDEALLY want to run above 15v on a 12v system, but all vehicles are different, so I would approach doing so with caution //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I went with Ohio Gen years ago for mine. Never had 1 issue at all.

DC has been more than helpful whenever I had issues (which were NOT alt. related).
