I agree with you on that NG, the installers are way unrecognized and I have a section in mag that covers them in every issue. Some of these guys are not recognized because they haven't had the shine to show their talents. Dropping the money, I had no choice because I admit that I'ma novice inthe field. The shops out here charge crazy money. A box in my friends ride that has four fifteens, they wanted 1900, the cheapest and I'm not talking going to a back yard spot
It would be MUCH more gratifying to me, if I earned the title of a champ for my own install/skills. I think it's just trivial for all the n00bx to talk trash and call eachother out on the deephitter's site when 90%+ of them didn't even have a hand in their own install, except in the forum of //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif.

I'd much rather be able to say my skills > your skills. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I wish I could get together with some people with money... maybe I should work at these shops on the EastCoast...lol.

Maybe you should because there are a ton of big spenders but short on good installers. In the big show next year called " King of Streetbeats" there will be a section on best shop install and best installer

I'd like to see the truck in person to judge the crafsmanship, its most def unique.

I dig motorized installs.

Although I can see why some dont like it, its not about what you would or would not do with your $$ , but rather this is what Deephitters Mag wanted the truck to look like. And being a show truck/ attention grabber, I'd say it would be successful at that. Again just because you dont personally like it, I'd still see most of your doing circles around the truck at a show checking it out and talking about it. Negative or postive, it gets a reaction from the public- and that is its purpose.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Precisely. I'd like to inspect it, and hear it in person.

The shop I work at starts at $95/hr + more for custom work.

Maybe you should because there are a ton of big spenders but short on good installers. In the big show next year called " King of Streetbeats" there will be a section on best shop install and best installer
That would be interesting

The truck is very well known here amongst the distributors, retailers, manufacturers, competitors and fans. I see that I have accompished what it was built for. I never heard of "saywhat" anywhere!
Actually I've lived in the Southeast for a while, and saywhat IS known around these parts.... especially in MS where I used to live AND in FL where I currently live. His Ranger gets much respect from the SPL competitors in the southeast.

As for your truck, I actually like it. I don't see any problems with it. People think its ghey because it has lots of chrome? Come on, that's a flat out personal opinion... I won't call a shaved street rod ghey because it has too much yellow paint, I'd say I don't like the color. I'm sure the truck gets plenty loud and grabs a ton of attention which is exactly what it was built for. I think the overhaul was more expensive than it should have been, but why should I care if they spent $300K? Its a good-sized company and the money has already been spent, so what's the point in *****ing about someone else spending their money? Its fuggin ridiculous how some people try and tear down every custom job that has more time and money involved than their own rides.
