I tried to order some stuff today from ikesound and I don't have a credit card cuz i am only 15 so my grandma was gonna put it on hers so anyway my order came to like 1400 dollars and they wanted a copy of her credit card and driver's licince faxed to them well that is stupid to get copys of that stuff but anyway my grandma's credit card company said there was no reason for this so what should I do to get my stuff any other websites or anything or do you think they will end up shiping it when my grandma gets back to them tomarrow cuz if not that will just ****

I actually had problems with this and canceled my order on Saturday. There is absolutely no reason what so ever that anyone would need a copy of not only your license but both sides of your credit car. Since they did that shit to me I've promptly taken them off my list of people to buy from. I love the things I've bought from them previously and have been spoiled by the free shipping. Anyone hear of a thing called credit card fraud, mal-practice of buisness and identity theft? Yeah, ikesound is rather fishy to me.

On a second note you might try calling them and getting in their face about it. Tell them that their buisness practices and sales dealing wouldn't hold ten minutes in a court room.

you ever stop to think maybe theyre trying to PREVENT fraud? theyre trying to make sure youre legit, so that you dont get away with 1400 bux in stuff that you shouldnt.

You can do a money order on Ikesound. There is a form that you print out then you just mail it in with your money order. You might want to try that.

You can set up paypal, if you have a bank account. last I checked, you could have a bank account at 17...

it would takea bout a week to get set up

but once it's set up

money from bank goes into paypal

paypal pays ikesound...

does ikesound still take paypal?

Anyway, I bought from Ikesound and they didn't make me show a drivers license, so I don't know what the deal is...

Its a common business practice...

relax....

its not fool proof...but think about it....how much trouble will you go through to fake a licence to match a cc?.....not much...you'll just move on to another company if its stollen...they are looking after your grandma...not trying to hurt her......

The folks at ikesound are about the best you're gonna get from an internet sales company. They're quick, curteous and they GIVE YOU FREE SHIPPING! What else can you ask for? Everything I've ordered from them has been on my debit card, and the only prepayment verification they've asked for is that the items be shipped to the address my bank has associated with my debit card. If you're gonna use granny's card, expect to be hasseled. They're just covering their own ***.

I work for a similar company that does most of it's business from mail/fax/phone/internet orders, and we have a far more detailed process than what ikesound ever thought of. I'm not allowed to discuss it at lengeth, but I can say that anyone who orders more than $500 without cash up front must fax us a waiver to allow us to do an indepth credit check before shipping or manufacturing their order. Imagine if you had to be subjected to a credit check to order from ikesound....hell, you probably don't even have credit! There are just too many people out there getting away with credit card fraud not to question an order as large as yours, so don't be offended.

oh yes things got straight today and they worked with us and things are straight now and I never said I was offended or anything at all I just was mad that I could not get my shit and they did do a credit cheeck but I can understand why they do this to cover thereselves thanks for the feedback
