Dude....just set up a weekly allowance with her. Make it a set amount, that you get to spend on whatever you want. No questions asked. Do the same for her. She gets the same amount to spend on whatever girly shiat she wants. It works.....you may have to save for a lil bit, but that's how You will learn to budget.

my girlfriend used to hate my car audio habit and that i spend money on my car, to the point that we almost split up. but then she started to realize that i dont spend more than what i can afford and that its something that i truly enjoy. After many hours of talking and working through things were to the point now that she is actually picking up one of my xs d3100's that i need as a birthday present, and is paying for the stuff to put a small system in her terrain.

it just takes a lot of communication and understanding on both parts. but sneaking around and lying about what you get will never be the solution. If its a relationship worth having its one worth working for.

I know how to budget, I'm a finace counsler at work which I had to take a week long school for. I just dont listen to my own advise.

I think its that redneck won the lottery thing in my case!

But after the house is finished and 20gs in the saving account she will back off. And where almost there. If I can be smart on this next deployment we should be good.

Soon as the bamboo is laid and the giant molding with pot lights in the formal room is done the tC is getting coil overs and boosted!

That girl has been my wife for the last 9 year. And being a Navy Wife is one the most difficult jobs there is, and she is very good at it.

Even if she wasnt as attractive as she is the fact that I can leave for long periods of time and not worry about anything but the job I'm out there to do means more the her looks.

BTW I just did this the other day when I told here I need another run of power wire. So i went and bought her a nook color that she has been looking at. then bought me 2 runs of wire, connectors, and another battery. She did not say one word.

I can always get here more coach purses, but she has already taken up most of the closet space with the ones she has now! She is real picky about jewelry.

Sorry man but we dont have any dept. Just a house note and 2 cars.

We have a couple grand left over almost every month.

But we are still upgrading the house. She has enough in the account right now to do the floors(2200 Square feet) Finsh the back splash(stainless steal incerts) and do the formal rooms sealing and chandiler.

She just dont want to do everything at once.

I am very far away from living outside of my means. I just married a penny pincher that thinks spending money on something that going down in value every day is stupid.

Man you have no idea about the hand bags. Coach, louis vuitton, Juicy.. They are all over the house!

But we all need to take into account the globel market and lay offs everywhere. I'm sucure in my job, The Navy has paid to much for my training to ditch me. I see people walk out the doors everyday. So even the military isnt a soild pay check anymore. I'm high enough in rank to not worry as much but the possibilty is always there.
