yeah man you just need to tell her..hey i make my money i should be able to spend it on whatever i want as long as bills are paid and theres food in your stomache what can she say? sounds like she thinks her hobbies/interest are more important than yours to me... like fixing up the house is her thing apparently so what makes spending money on that any different from a car? not much..its all for your own enjoyment and what you like.

In all honesty bro, fixing up the house adds a lot of value! From what we have done so far has added a couple grand and we havent done much. We its said and done it will go from $227,000 to about $270,000

Where as chopping up a car cuts it value down a whole lot

Tell her its a hobby, it makes me happy. I don't buy alot of **** like my wife does(clothes, shoes, **** for the dogs), but I splurge once in awhile and its a grand or more. You need to tell her that you what to buy things that make you happy too and not just for the house. Whats the difference between buying those 200 pants compared to a 200 amp or sub?

Not saying buy everything at once or even every payday. Hell, once every 2-3 months though????? You say you make 6figs, I'm in the millitary too, deployed atm as well, and you make a shit load more than I do if you pulling in 6figs.
