Sh!tty story, but now you know not to trust anybody, not even friends. Learn from this and don't let anyone borrow your ride...Ever.

If I'm taking it in to get tires or having a mech test drive/fix it I just turn the sub control off. Most won't bother to figure out how to turn it on. If its on when I get the car back it's time to chew someone the fuck out and get a discount.

there was a post on face book last week about the dd 1 was no good for setting gains,and many people were blowing subs because of it.just call the dc warehouse for a ra # and tell them that the spider is coming apart but sub is still good .they will tell you what to do

its a return authorization number , so you need to call the main number , talk to jeff or rob and let them know that the spider has come apart and you need to send it in for repair under warranty ,if the sub is still under warranty.

Just b/c you use the DD-1 doesn't mean it'll never clip your music, not to mention the recorded track itself is most likely clipped.
