This is why morons shouldn't touch nice cars

Car looks to be fairly decent, wiring certainly doesn't though lol. Your not too far away from me and I'm not a big fan of working in the cold either, crawling around a car in upper 30's low 40's is about my limit unless something absolutely positively has to get done. Body does look to be in pretty good shape, bit of cleaning and some new interior with a good install should make for a sweet car to drive around.
Well after some more work on it, it's gonna need a bit of engine work too. It runs pretty rough and burns oil like a *****. Not sure what route I'm gonna take with it just yet. Previous owner put a cheap flowmaster on it with a $2 part-store tip; He had NO taste.

This shit keeps getting better and better.

I found out the likely reason as to why the head unit doesn't work anymore: They took the front and rear speakers, spliced the wires together and ran them off the front channel. Nothing like running a Sony headunit amp at 2 ohms per channel. *Magic smoke anyone*

Notice the green and purple wires are unused.

And the worst part of today's update... Hint: This isn't condensation

Got all the aftermarket wires removed. Back to stock wiring finally. Yay!

And here I thought I had seen it all..........

This... My friends ... Is the best thing I have removed yet. I peaked behind the stock 4x6 grill and what do I see? Yes... this is a 4" full range speaker. This speaker is NOT installed using a bracket. IT WAS NOT INSTALLED AT ALL

The speaker was just sitting behind the grill.

This is something I also found interesting. It looks to be a stock, console mounted fader.

Its bad, BUT Ive seen worse, and as far as the slice and insert wire tapping.. Thats how SOOOOO many alarm installers are trained to save time.. The only thing I hate seeing more than that is scotch locks!

Haha ... maybe I should get the pictures of those. Plenty of scotch locks around this car.

I'm gonna have to figure out what part of the stock alarm is disconnected to get that working again. Also the power locks were run through the aftermarket alarm system so I gotta reconnect those as well.

I'm still waiting for pictures of a nice car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Here's a few pics of the "twins". Our 1987 non-turbo 944. Father purchased it new in 87, only got ~70k miles on it. Interior is near mint condition (just starting to show its age)

This is what I hope the final product of the Turbo's interior will be.
