This is why morons shouldn't touch nice cars

I recently picked up a 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo project car. The first thing I removed was the absolutely ghetto amp wiring. All of the power and RCA's were labeled "Crankin' Power" ... needless to say I'm gonna throw them all out. Everything was completely wraped in electrical tape, and all the factory wiring was cut instead of using an adapter.

I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

The idiots spliced in another cigarette lighter into the radio's power and ground ... needless to say the radio doesnt work, plus its a sony.

And one of the car ... So far she's only got an exhaust leak and a few small things. (The shit in the engine bay is just to catch the hood from crushing my arms if it were to fall)

Now that its getting warm out again... Figured I'd post an update.

Sorry, this one is just as shitty.

Turns out they bypassed the stock alarm and put in a STINGER alarm system complete with neons and somehow tied into the radio.

First is the power wire. This is some ghetto shit. They had 2 10 gauge power wires run through this fuse block. Looks like they were running some SERIOUS power judging by the fuse size.

Get this: They only had one ground wire (10 gauge) for 2 runs of 10 gauge positive. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Some of the wires spliced into the fuse box were done in this manner: Strip back some shielding, split the wire down the middle. Insert the wire to be spliced, wrap around existing wire. Electrical tape. FING AHOLES

yea my truck had some similar things when i bought it...........the head unit was installed using electrical tape to splice into the wiring harness no connectors or anything just electrical tape......and the sub amp settings were funny, gain was at zero with the bass boost cranked up
