i was thinking the same thing. I hear a lot more about JL audio then Pheonix gold. I have a 12" jl audio w6v2 d4 sub and i am looking for a mono amp. my price range is at most, $300. I was look at this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9103_Rockford+Fosgate+T500-1bd.html

the alpine is 800wrms and my sub is 800w max peak. would that alpine amp blow my sub if i were to use it? maybe you guys have any other amps that would be a good match.

I kinda want to get the RF T500.1bd becuase i already have a RF amp and they would match.

the JL will put out 500 watts..

all day long... low volts, high volts... low Ohms, high ohms 1.5-4 if i recall.. same wattage?

the other one will more than likely be an inneficient power hog and clip out your sub.

the alpine is a NO..... your subs are dual 4 ohm correct? you wont be able to wire them both to a 2 ohm load.......

1 ohm or 4 ohm.....
