well unfortunatly there is crime everywhere.....the only real thing u can do to prevent it is to take precautions ....1.) dont park your car on the street....put it in the garage if u have one, 2.) dont play your sterio loud w/ in 3-4 blocks of your house or where you'll be parking your vehicle 3.) get an alarm 4.) dont advertise u have a system(ex. stickers and the like) 5.) Get a big dog and keep him in the garage w/ your car....heh....thats what i do(see my baby below)

Oh, and I also got this thin security film, sorta like a tint film, by 3M. It was actually supposed to deter road rage. Your glass would smash, but the film will prevent anyone from having access to what's inside for some time. It can be cut easily from the inside, quite impossible without a knife from the outside.

yesterday i used two latches, eyebolts and a few locks to secure my gear. it is not full proof, but it will slow them down. i took my brothers box down in the midday. maybe ill do it in 4am. he has a couple of old school orion 10's. im gonna find him an amp and go from there. oh yeah, he called me from work pissed off because had just realized that his trunk has a lock from the inside //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif. this "hit" was any easy one for them.

i think of it like this

an alarm and some L brackets will slow the person tryin to take ur stuff up - and hopefully offer enough time where someone can notice the crime and do something about it.

ALWAYS GET L BRACKETS, USE 4 OF THEM TOO

i was going to use L-bracket, i didnt want to be drilling all them holes in my trunk because i might hit the wrong thing. im still familiarizing myself with hondas. ive always had cutlus, mc's and buicks. i think i have made it pretty difficult for them. oh yeah, were i live, people dont report nothing unless there the victim. probably because they fear going to jail because they have about 10 warrants.l

you should put the bolt inside the box. so if they want it they have to take the sub out.

i may consider this. problem is im considering going with two twelves instead 1 fifteen. soon as i decide if im gonna change my setup ill consider this. i just dont wanna be drilling all these holes in my trunk.

Usually used for high-rise buildings... I don't know if this is the exact same one, cause I'd imagine it to be dangerous if it's a one-way shatter thing.

The one I got, apparently, a person can smash the galss and try to get into the cabin and it will not budge. Yet, from the inside, a child could get the thing off. It's supposed to be this safety requiremtn in case of water submersion or fire, etc.

I don't know if a doulbe layer will be more effective, but it might compromise the one-way tear thing.

Good thing I'm not a police officer. If I was called to go to your house because someone was trying to steal your equipment and I got there and you beat the guy up, I would just turn my head. If I ever caught someone stealing my stuff, I'm worried that I might get so pissed that I may beat them to death, they would surely end up in the hospital. Maybe I could break their arm in such a way that it has to be amputated that was they only have one are to steal car equipment with. I think I'll stop talking now I'm getting too pissed. That sucks man. I hope you find the guy that did it and beat the crap out of him. Did you have the police come out and do the finger printing thing, along with filling out a police report?
