well long story short, a friend of mine got into an accident and will be receiving a nice settlement for it, he wants me to pick out a mega system for him and has set a budget for 2 grand to spend on it, the car it will be going in is a newer model Cadillact STS Northstar so there is plenty of trunk room, he wants to be really loud while maintaining some SQ, he's content with his bose premium sound package so inside speakers are unnecessary at the moment, what we are looking for is some kick azz SQL woofers and a monster amp to power them with, what is your suggestions? right now I am leaning towards getting him either 2 15" avalanches, 2 15" XXX's, 2 15" SX's, or I may even look into treo or incriminator, the enclosure will be vented built to specs or slightly over specs, as far as the amp goes, I'm thinking of the hifonics collosus, or goliath, depending on the subs we choose, this guy is experienced in car audio as his last set up was two mofo 12's and PA3000DB, it wasn't enough for him apparantely lol!, neways guys your input is appreciated so let me know what you would get in this situation, btw he is going to upgrade to a higher output alt and probably get an extra battery for this setup.

well, I told him his bose system wouldn't be enough for what he is looking into and suggested components and such, but it's his preference, surely he will want to upgrade when his bass is going to be the only thing he heres, neways suggestions

well since he has a pos bose system adding subs is useless cause if you try and add a hi/lo converter to a bose system you will not get any bass notes lower then 65hz... so if he is looking for something all arond he will need to replace his cd player and all of his speakers and go with a whole new system... and for 2G u could do that. i would probably suggest and alpine type R component setup cause they sound **** good for the price. a pioneer premier HU.

and either 2 10's in a good box or just 1 10... the Type R is a good sub and i would Say the Type X though... just depends on what u want to do.

but defentally replace the bose system....

no highs no lows....must be bose

Adire koda comps, PPI amps to boot

Alpine DVD deck, huge flipdown screen

well I forgot to mention he already decided on a nice HU, he is going to get an alpine CD/DVD with screen, and I am well aware he needs to replace his highs and mids, he is just being ingnorant and thinks his bose will be good enough, as said, right now he just wants me to find him the subs and amps, he has already decided on 2 15's, leaning mainly towards XXX's and a colossus (he is also upgrading his alt and going to run an extra battery) , but I am trying to research and see what else is out there, as far as the brahma's go aren't they out of stock?

Used they are cheaper-300 a pop about. He will need subs that cheap because the flipout HU already cost a good 1200 bux.
