Thinking of Phoenix Gold Titanium Elite 12" subs

ive got one of these in my car, im only runnin 1300 to it and its really weak, beside the low end, the low end is really good but everything else is weak. called Phoenix Gold and their tech rep said they NEED 1500+ daily to get loud. They take ridiculous power, not only TAKE but USE the power too

one awesome sub, good luck with your pair, i wish i had the proper power for mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Here's a little account I posted on CS previously.

LOL, after I "warmed up" the new subs a bit, I took a stroll to the shop I bought the new Eclipse CD8445 deck from Thursday, and pulled up playing a bass-test track that I downloaded from http://www.realmofexcursion.com (Bass, I Love You -- EXTREMELY deep), and as I was aproaching the building, I saw the glass windows on the entire front of the building shaking to the uber-low frequencies of the song. The reflections were actually bending. It caught me off-guard. I didn't expect that at all, or for it to be so violtent. Everyone inside came to the windows to see what was going on, and when I turned it off, every alarm on the lot was going off. It was a hilarious sight to see all these hands with keychain remotes raised, clicking the disarm buttons like lighters at a U2 concert. The owner came out to take a look and was freaking about the excursion of the woofs. A couple customers were a bit freaked out in general. Hey, Max (the sales person) told me to come back and show them off when I got them running. Not my fault *hehe*. One of the installers had to pull out his S10 x-cab, running a pair of L7 15"s. It was certainly loud, but as he hit into the *est.* 140 dB range, it was more noise than bass. I wonder if that's normal for L7's.

I have been rocking two 15" regular titaniums for quite some time now. Very nice woofers. I am surprised that the titanium and titanium elite series never really were all that popular.

In my particular sealed enclosure and vehicle, this is how they rank for SQ

1. RL-P: most responsive and accurate SQ, plus loud

2. Type X: muscular power, and loves it low. amazing SQ for such a meaty sound. Among the top 3 SQ subs I have ever heard.

3. Ti12dComp Elite: weight-lifting champ. It will knock dishes off the shelves in the kitchen while tuning in the garage 2 rooms and 2 walls of brick between them. Uber-low-reaching. Responsive and good SQ considering the intensity of what it's doing. Will not bottom out!

None of these exibited "peaky" behavior or resonant harmonics that I hate about many other woofs. They all are very impressive.
