Alright guys I already built one box for this sub that should be delivered on Monday but while re running wires today I had a brain fart. An idea of sorts. A thought. The box I built already is 2.5 @ 35Hz.
Your normal looking everyday ported box. Nothing fancy.
However I thought about building another box with the port at the rear of the box (front of car) and the sub facing the back of the car. Reason I think I may like this a little more is because the center console of my back seat folds all the way down.
All the air leaving the port would come through there and maybe be felt in the front of the car.
Im mostly going for SQL I want it to sound good at high levels but at the same time know a SX is only going to sound but so good so I would love to be able to feel it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Im sure there wont be any hair tricks pulled of a single 12" in a station wagon but who knows haha.
Is this a good or bad idea? Im sure its been done before so any insight would be welcomed with open arms. If this is a good idea, anyone care to do some drawings for me? If so how much $ ?
