Thinking of 2 8's

I am going to be getting a 08 350z and so my 12" type r is just not going to fit. I still would like to keep my hifonics bxi 606 if at all possible to save some money. I was thinking of doing 2 sealed 8's with about 1ft^3 combined. I was looking at the arc audio arc8d2 so that i could wire series to have them at 2 ohms and then my bxi can send them 300wrms at 2 ohms.

The subs are recommended 150wrms each but does anyone have experience if those work well with 150 each or do they want more? I am not looking for something loud (I can barely listen to my 2.3xft^3 ported type r more than half way up) I just want something punchy and with good sound quality.

If anyone has another other recommendations

my amp can do 600wrms @ 1 ohm, 300wrms @ 2 ohm, 150wrms@ 4 ohm

should be fine at 300 daily. or maybe think about turning your gain down so you're not overpowering them too much..

I meant they are 150wrms each so for 2 of them 300wrms should be their perfect recommendation. I was just checking if anyone saw any problems or had any other suggestions, but thank you.

150rms per driver is enough. They are very nice drivers. Very low FS for being 8". I have one and have no complaints. The enclosure might be a bit large though. You might want to consider doing .7 cubes gross.
