Thinking about getting a bike

I might sell my jeep and audio equipment and get a bike. I want something good and have been looking at hayabusa's lately....but am a complete noob when it comes to bikes. Anything you guys would suggest that have treated u good in the past/present or something a friends drives?

dont get a busa or anything over 600cc really for a first bike, unless you have a deathwish. friend of mine started out with a lifan 250. he sold that and now has a 06 katana 600, which he loves. personally, from what i know about bikes, id start out with an older ninja 250, or anything small and light really.

**** if you have never had a bike start out with something small. An older 600 will do you good and you want be called a pu$$y. Lookin into some cbr600's, or an r6. Craigslist has a lot of deals.

get a big fast bike, maybe get the zx14r or the busa, and dont pansy *** the throttle, either twist it all the way, or none...

i can sense the sarcasm, but its attitudes like that that get bikers killed. you have to be scared of the bike, or else youre fucked.

in all seriousness, the first bike i ever rode was a 600 f3, and it was a GREAT bike...

very soft feel, nice and forgiving, clutch was easy to master, throttle response was strong, but not over bearing (just enough to give you the thrill and still keep you scared //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ), and the steering was very simple.

so true..it will get u killed..just go to a bike dealer and look for something 600 and no higher then 7....either way a motorcycle is going to be fast no mater wat
