Thinking about changing my substage, Thought & Opinions.

Right Now I've got 3 Type R 12 D2's for 1.3ohm load in a triple Ported custom Box tuned to 32Hz on a BXI1208D (Not nearly enough Power as it is I know) The amp makes about in the low 800's RMS when I clamped it so these guys aren't seeing much power as it is but with there being 3 it gets reasonably loud & low.

ANYWAYS....I'm toying with the idea of selling all 3 and the box and getting a ED 13AV.2 and a new amp that will do a solid 1750-2000RMS and of course a new box to compliment it.

What should I expect really, I'm not really trying to lose much output or perceived "loudness", My current setup is in a Toyota Yaris Hatch with the rear seats removed and a deck in place with the subs and port firing to the front directly behind the seats (It has to be this way for my work gear to fit in the car)

What I have now is just very big and very heavy and takes a lot fo space and I know this is generally needed to make a solid impact but some of you guys are smarter than I am so maybe on you will have a good idea.

personally I would get a 2000 watt amp and keep the subs and enclosure

that way if it still is not enough you already have the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

and for what it is worth the 1208d at 1 ohm only did about 1000 rms ( only brutus amp I ever tested that did not do rated )

the new brz line 1200 does 1200 tho..

I dont doubt but as it were I just had to have 3 subs crammed into my car at one point and so it happened, it sounds pretty good and plenty of bass overall...just want some space back and Id like to free up some weight without losing a substantial amount of output. I figure getting the 13av.2 on a solid clean 1500rms in the proper box will make me happy....I think.
