Alpine CDE-102 Head Unit Help

I recently purchased an Alpine CDE-102 to replace a factory unit. The factory unit wasn't working to begin with. It was getting power but no sound. I've replaced it with the Alpine unit. I also purchased the wiring harness and antenna adapter. Install went smooth but now there is almost no sound, I have to put my ear right next to the speakers. Same problem in radio and CD modes. There are 2 yellow wires coming from the harness that connects to the car but only one on the HU harness. Schematic says its the battery wire. I'm confused, please I need some help.
