Thinking about buying a new alternator

i am thinking about buying a 200 amp alternator, but how much money will i have to spend after to upgrade the wires and whatever else? I think the alternator will be 250 or so, so how much am i looking at total to completely upgrade my electrical?

Just under the hood you will need to upgrade the alt + to batt +, batt - to engine, batt - to frame if u have not already, so depending on your alt and battery locations the amount will vary. I picked up 14 feet of knu fleks for 60 bones to do all my underhood wire upgrades, more is always better.

so if i just buy the alternator and wiring that is all i will need? Don't i need a new battery too?

Depends on what your running power wise. Dont forget fuses btw

i'm possibly going to max out around 2100 watts, 1 gauge wire to everything.

i know, i just finally think i need to upgrade my electrical and get it over with. I got 2 hifonics 1606d and a my rockford amp for my comps ( 150x2)

For sure just upgrade all of your wiring to 1/0 gauge
