so i only know a lil bit about a lil bit but basically here's the situation

i wanna put a sub or to in the car

i prefer the sound of sealed and i like the space it would save

i would like to get one of the better spl subs because a sealed sub would sound pretty decent regaurdless?...that could be wrong

i feel like the more cone area, the lower the sub will hit and i will also need slightly more power maybe 20 watts to run a 15 over a 12.....that could all be wrong too

i dont want to spend much over 300

my current idea is a fi ssd15 in a 2 ft^3 box powered by a kenwood 9104d or 9103d....probably the 9103d if it wont make a difference

would the aa chaos 15 be worth the little bit of extra money?

i know these threads **** but i would really like some input

thanks?

because it's 64 more plus however much more it will cost to get a bigger amp to power it, i kind of figured that a larger sealed box might be fine, other forums have said it would be fine in a 2 and the q is recommends 2-2.6 ft^3

i was thinking for the ssd somewhere from 2-2.2?

Sealed sounds good, and hits. Ported goes lower, and also hits. Not always the case though.

And about cone area....a 15 its just for lower bass. With 1 or 2 12's, you get more of a sense whats going on, by them reacting to more frequencys

It means you can hear the difference. A 12 dosent hit as low as a 15, and a 15 dosent react as fast as a 12Depends on the music though. You want 10s or 12s for rock.....12s or 15s for rap....
That is a completely incorrect and uneducated opinion, just so you know.

The design and quality of a woofer along with the design and the quality of the enclosure are what determines its output, frequency response, and sound quality.
