Think I made a mistake...

I bought 2 dual voice coil MTX T5512-44 12" subs. Along with that, I also bought 1 MTX mono block Thunder 5601 amp.

Now, for my question....

The subs are both 300RM, 4 ohms. The amp is 300 watts x 1 @ 4 ohms / 600 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms.

What I am lost on is since this is not a single coil sub will it still work with this setup? If so, how would I need to wire it.

Since they are dual 4 ohm woofers then no, you will not be able to wire a 2 ohm load with them for your amp. If they were dual 2 ohm woofers then you would be able to wire them as a 2 ohm load. I'd just run one of the subs @ 2 ohms.

You could wire them both and end @ 4 ohms, but you'll just end up setting your gains to high and burning up your coils.
