think i can get this box to work for my 12" sx?

so i have a 12" ported enclosure that i want to put my resonant engineering sx in. only problem is that it's for a black cone kicker L5. i can fab some shit up to make a round sub, but i was wondering if anyone can figure out the frequency and size (in ft cubed) of the box, and if you guys think this will work.

i dont have enough wood for a new box and i really dont feel like spending more money on it. right now im running a 2 cu. ft. sealed box but it's "not recommended"

these are the dimensions: 15"H x 17.25"W x 32"L

port: 3" wide x 13 1/8" high x 14.875" long of total port

i think this is the middle recommended box for a 12" L5 according to kickers website.

That enclosure is roughly 3.3 cubes tuned to 39hz. Will it work an sx12? It will be pretty loud with not much low end.

^thanks for your help. how long should a lengthen the port in order for it to be around 32 hz?

also, im currently running it in a 2 cubic foot sealed box. if i were to make a hole and put some 3" pvc tubing in there, could i make a nice ported box? might be a little small, and i dont really want to **** anything up on the box im using now.

Build a new box, don't try to rig it. 2.5 cubes @ 32hz. would be good for an SX.

20 dollars is a lot? I mean you have a great sub why not make a good box for it?
