i feal bad, but at the same time ur stupid for not haveing a security system to protect what you have....

I think those trucks have a factory alarm

thats why i am getting an alarm asap where they wont have time to pull anything out because they will draw attention to them because the alarm will be going off
did you call your insurance and see if they cover it or not

bust the window, door lock, pop the hood cut the Neg of the batt cable. and ur alarm is DONE!! good bye car audio gear..

ive seen it done. then i relay it to my customer's that just spent a few grand on a stereo.

it's a sale's point. after i install there stereo, I tell them how quick it can be taken away, then talk them into a security system. simple as that!!

no i was to busy running away with the gear.. DUH... J/K

i have just had a few car's towed into my shop with it done.

or i'll see some car's that have had the battery wire's replaced. then i asked the costomer why, and they tell me someone had cut there neg batt wire. and stole there sweet sony cd player.

i just say. gee golly that would have never happend if youre securith system had a back up batt..

they say okely dokely, and have me install one.

i feel your pain, man. My car was stolen with a snatcher truck back in march and while it had no stereo, the rims were stolen, the brand new tires inside were stolen, and they cut a hole in my trunk to get the wheel socket and stuff, causing a total of about 11,000 in damage

When I was in college, a buddy of mine had his system lifted just as you typed above. He said his alarm sounded for less than ONE second with two thieves working in tandem on his Mazda pickup.

Before the days BEFORE back up batteries, another friend of mine woke up to a stolen system. They drilled the bottom of his battery to bleed out all the acid. That was a HUGE insurance claim because a lot more than the stereo and battery had to be replaced.

I hate thieves. If your on this forum and you've ever stolen anything, you're a bad person.

On a different note, your insurance might cover this depending on your plan. It's something you should look into. It's why you pay for it, after all.
