so don't go crazy on me lol but how do head units affect your system i recently bought a stupid farahiet head unit cuz it had a tv an was able to play dvds an ****..

but im more for good SUB an sound quality anyone care to help out with this?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

I have had good luck with the Jensen in dash DVD players. Really the Soundstream one had good sound and picture, but was otherwise a complete piece of ****.

Hit or miss with the cheap ones. From my experience it isn't so much loss of SQ with the cheap ones, it's more about dubious reliability, lack of features, and poor performance in general.

There are a handfull of snobophile head units, and I'm guessing you'd be hard pressed to really tell the difference.

Alpine used to have lots, now they all need ad ons for the features that should come with it. The pioneer 80prs is supposed to be quite nice. I haven't heard it, but have the previous model which is the 880prs. I believe they are quite similar as far as sound quality and the 880 sounded very good to me. I am going to be trying a kenwood x995 soon.
