The copyright laws in this country are retarded, like 50 years for it or something like that.... if they were reasonable it would be different.

Plus if you take away record sales more artists would do more tour appearances, which is better for all the fans, and actually makes artists work instead of just sitting there profiting off of works 50 years ago.

same thing applies for movie copyrights, they make millions of dollars, you pay $10 to see the movie in the theater, then you have to pay $25 just to see it again? Doesnt seem right to me.
