They Don't Make Soundtracks Like They Used To

Anyone know any good soundtracks? I'm not just talking about a collection of good songs...I'm talking about a collection of good songs that actually play along with the movie...for example,

- Shaft (1971, Isaac Hayes)

- Superfly (1972, Curtis Mayfield)

- Trouble Man (1972, Marvin Gaye)

- Truck Turner (1974, Isaac Hayes)

Of course these are all Blaxploitation Titles from the 70s, so are there any contemporary soundtracks that you could think of?

I really liked James Horner's work on Black Hawk Down...it's very different for a contemporary soundtrack. "Gortoz A' Ran J'attends" still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up...

yeah, that soundtrack is pretty ill. so was gladiator's.

but as far as any other good soundtracks, i have no clue, im not big on soundtracks at all. the garden state sndtk was allright if you dig that style.
