These sure are purdy...

Nahhhh, I like to peek at other amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I just fixed an Alpine for a friend... pretty weak if you ask me. It has "1000-watts" printed on the front and has 2x TIP42C and 2x TIP41C in the output section... 65-watt maximum dissipation each.

I put some cross-referenced NTE T0-220 units back in rated at 90-watts each and more than double the IC (collector current) and IB (base current) ratings, so hopefully he won't blow it up again as easily.

A "250 watt" Road gear has more in the output section than that Alpine in 1/2 the footprint size... it's actually got 4x TO-220 devices rated at 75-watts maximum each. I don't recall the part numbers... but I do recall that the rating was accurate per the devices at "250-watts Max." At least Road Gear got their number from somewhere!

Just random stuff on my mind... back on topic!

Its all good I was just bustin ballz. Ill try to get em nekkid later today and you can give me/us some of your insight. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Your amps rule!!! Get the 250x2 done already.......LOL

work on the sae lines first!!

lizard why don't u buy the 100.4 you can bridge it to 300 x 2 @ 4. plus option of 4 channels for active if needed. it still same line and quality and imo a more versitile amp. Unless u were gonna run two 250.2 and use one as a bridged mono sub amp.

Mike-
I've bridged 4 channels before and wasn't impressed.......subs okay......but not on the front stage. Wasn't as musical as when it was unbridged....example was the Zapco 4.0

So, I'm new to active, but I'm curious here. Could you even use that for a 2-way setup. Would the front input typically be the "tweeter" with settings of hp @ 4khz, and no lp. The rear would use the "bp" and be the midwoofer with hp of 80, and low pass of 4? Is this possible to attain with this amp?

Just curious. I'm trying to find an amp I can go active with 2-way without having to buy an h701 processor, if at all possible.

like i said, i will be suprised if it is any good because in the past alumapro sucked. now they make amps so who knows, they might be ok. why dont you hook it up and give us a review?
you sir, are completely full of shit. i'm willing to bet my alumapro front stage would walk all over your setup.

I don't think he cares he seems to be a lot more spl oriented. So the products that Alumapro may not fill his thurst for enough bass to rattle the next town. Don't get me wrong the Alumapros can get **** loud and be accurate doing it.
