These batts any good?

I have an oppurtunity to get two Concorde pvx-2240T batteries for 200 each, wondering if they're good for car audio, as everything I can find on them is solar-electric. They are deep cycle AGM batts with 224 ah which seems pretty good, but would these be better than a single xs power d3100?

What else should be accounted for? Not disagreeing with you. I still have much to learn about batts and I'm sure the OP would like your input as well.
AH, CA, and CCA mean nothing in car audio applications. AH ratings are low amperage pulls for extended periods of time. CA and CCA were tests designed back in the early 1900's are very outdated. All battery companies still use the CA and CCA ratings though, because they are an industry standard rating. The reason you see companies come up with other testing results is because of how outdated the CA and CCA tests are.

For car audio applications you need instantaneous power with the battery having the ability to recover quickly. When the bass hits the amperage pull goes up and as soon as the bass stops the amperage draw drops, so when the amperage pull drops the battery should then be able to recovery quickly.

As for a rating to look at.............. there is no one rating you can look at really. We wish there was, but there just isn't. You can look at what the battery is designed for though. If it is a commercial battery that is designed for a low amperage pull for continuous periods, then it is not going to work well for car audio really.

discharge rate is probably gonna be better from the xs power, but that's alot of reserve to have for if you were to say beat on ur system for hours on end. At the same time though, if your alt can't keep those batts replenished they gonna have a shorter life since they'll constantly be lower than they want to sit. The price is good per Ah, but the xs is a guaranteed winner

Well I have a soundigital 8000.1 and a 300 amp alt but just an interstate megatron under the hood for now. I don't play for more than 30 minutes so I think the xs would be best
