I'm assuming that these will be replacing the Revelators, which sell for about $225 on Madisound. I would guess that these would sell somewhere around the same price range. Maybe around $300 or so since they're new and a more advanced design.

No, these are not replacing the Revelators. These are a series above the Revs.

I don't remember where now....but I recall seeing the estimated pricing somewhere, and it was ridiculous. Think in the vicinity of $1k/driver.

They aren't a new topology, but they are a new take on an underhung design. The basket will allow for great cooling and extreme clearances. The underhung design will give good linearity to the drivers. I wonder if Alpine will offer a new F1 set with the Illuminator tweeter and woofer.
