These any good?

No, it's not worth it.

Those are decent subs, but I'm pretty sure you can get them cheaper than $220 shipped.

Let's go through the routine:

What do you have in your car now (Is it ALL stock or do you have an aftermarket HU, etc)

What do you listen to

How much room do you have

What are your system goals (SQ or SPL)

How much can you spend total

I have nothing in my car except a Pioneer deck.

I listen to rap and hardcore/metal

I have a really big trunk, so i dont think thats an issue.

System goals? im new to this.

i dont really wanna spend more than 400 for some subs and an amp.

Get a good 15...port it with some power and call it a day .

ummmm offhand.....

amp: something from hifonics, off the forums would be the cheapest but it would likely not be BNIB

sub: if you are looking for 100% loudness and dont care really how it sounds..... can't go wrong with a type-r. if you want it to sound decent and get fairly loud too, I would recommend an SQL sub like an RL-P or CVX

thats about the cheapest route I can think of

OK, here's what you get:

Sub:http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/shop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=50

Comps:http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=17541

Sub Amp: Kicker ZX400.1 http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=291107

Comp Amp: I'll sell you my Eclipse EA2212 for $75 shipped

All told, that comes to $415 shipped. Add all your wiring and box materials and you're under $500 with a very decent system

if all you want is bass your stock speakers are fine just get a 4 or 6 gauge wiring kit an amp and subs you dont have to go crazy if you dont have the money to
