there still is some good in the world...

so, i work part time at a Sam's club and one of the 4 walmarts in town is right next door. well my ex fiancee/current girlfriend (its complicated LoL) came in to sams, shopped a bit and then went to walmart. Well, her car woudnt start when she came back to it and messaged me to see if i could give her a jump start. Well, in the interim of me going to my car and driving over there, some dude and his gf pulled into the spot right in front of her and asked if he could help when he saw a diminutive lady with her hood up obviously having car troubles. She explained the problem and he identified the problem as a dead battery also. He then said to her that he didnt have any jumper cables, but he just needed to grab a couple quick things and would buy some while he was in there just to help her out (he had some in his garage, but not in the truck). Well, i arrived shortly thereafter and asked the fellas girlfriend who was still in the truck if she kindly could move it so i could jump the dead car. About 45 seconds later, the dude shows up with the cables and jumps the car.

My gf didnt have any cash and is easily flustered with issues like these so she didnt have the wherewithal to go buy some cables with her card. This dude just did this out of sheer kindness. I promptly paid the guy for the cables and shook his hand like a man.

Some people can bring some hope back to humanity

complicated lol.. i jump start like 5 cars a year in parking lots..

Yes indeed there are nice people out there willing to help. One time I ran out of gas, and I was right near the gas station. But I was by myself and couldn't push the car. These nice gentleman saw me struggling, ran over to my car and helped pushed it into the gas station. I bought all them slushies at 7-11.

i worked at a station this kid drove a s10 his dad had put a race motor in ran out right before my parking lot but i had closed the store.. i turn gas on and left $ for the manger to ring up in the am. wouldn't it **** to run out at a station and not be able to get gas?

I know a forum where they often talk about quality batteries, super caps and things like that but I can't recall the name right now.
her battery has been dying since last spring, but shes bullish with her money LoL this was inevitable and ive advised her very directly to get a new battery like 20 times so i almost felt like saying "told ya so" when it died LOL

Nice!! ive pulled over and pushed so many cars in my life just to be a help im hoping that my good karma comes back to me some day soon LoL

Tell a female to get a new battery 6-12 months before it needs to be replaced but tell them it needs to be replaced now or you'll be stranded.

I can't even begin to tell you how many mom's I've had to jump because of that
