Theoretical Best of Both Worlds? 2 Sealed & 2 Ported?

Title pretty much asks it all;

Maybe this is a silly question, but would two 12" sealed woofers in combination with two 12" ported woofers make for the best of both sides? *If implied decently ?

And to take it further, both ran by the same Amp / Sub Out ? (i.e. no different settings ran between ported and sealed: both playing off same settings)

Or would it be best to just run four 12" sealed rather than 2 sealed and 2 ported?

4x 12"subs in a ported & tuned box (is what i'd do).... i'd say having both ported and sealed boxes in the same car will actually make the sound quality worse as each box will sound different playing the same tone (hope that made sence)

i have only seen one settup that used diferent sized subs, BUT that was a home theater system. single 18" sub in a tapped horn to play 40hz and down and a sealed 10" sub playing 40hz-100hz. it had a crazy crossover network and the time he spent setting it up to make it sound good was insane. in a car it is always best to pick one box type/sub size and go with it.

Have you looked at fourth order bandpass boxes?

would sound horrible and youd cancel out alot your bass so it won't even sound as good as four sealed!!!!
