The War on Drugs.

Also, while we are on this subject, I will advocate NOT VOTING for Rudy Giuliani if you have any self dignity.

Giuliani is about as big of a ****ing hypocrite as they come in politics. He is a defender of the War on Drugs, but he accepted $2 million to represent Hank Asher. Hank Asher was a known for smuggling cocaine. And what was Giuliani's remark about this..."I have a great admiration for what he's doing."

Does any one know how much money the government makes off of this war on drugs. for ticketes court fees shit like that. they make alot of money buy keeping it illeagle. that and if you get caught buying drug and you are in a vehicle they can seize that, as well as homes, vehicles, wepons cash, most of the time they turn around and use or sell these things, so they make plenty of money off it being illeagle

Very wrong in most aspects. It was originally illegalized as a racist movement towards mexicans and later on, blacks. Not only that, a few high ranking government officials faced to lose a substantial amount of their investments in DuPont if hemp research and production continued in paper and fiber.
Why is it still illegal today? No idea. There is absolutely no monetary reason not to legalize marijuana and hemp, which is what the government seems to be more concerned with anyways. I'm glad to see that some states like California and whatever that midwest state that was trying to legalize hemp are going around the federal law to try and get shit done.
Bingo.

On another note, have you guys seen the Anti-Pot commercials? The ones with the stick figures? Seriously, 40 grand a pop and your bit**in about pot? What about the crack that destroys families? And thats where my tax $$ is going? Bullsh*t...

Haha, I like the one with the live action talking dog. I mean, honestly, what kind of message is that to send to kids.

"Hey, smoke pot and your dog will start talking to you!" -- How fucking cool would that be???

I laugh my *** off every time I see that commercial, even when I'm sober.

I got booked for posession up here a few times. The worst time was probably when i had 4 dimes in the baggys. A scale and a bud crusher all on me.. They just took everything and let me go.. LOL.. thats what they do usually when you dont have a record.. Marijuana is less dangerous then alcohol in my opinion, but can be deadly when mixed together for some people. MARIJUANA is not for everyone. Like Chris Rock said "if you life is @#@$@$ up.. you shud be smokin weed"..

Yeah, I could go on for a while about him. He's such a money greedy bastard. His assets were reported at $7,000 in 2001. His net worth has since increase to $30 million as of this year. How did he make all his money? 9/11 of course. Talk about turning tragedy into triumph...

I think I just might hate him more than Bill O'Rielly.

Again, I wasnt trying to turn this into another legalize weed thread but I guess that topic cant be avoided. As stated, even if that part alone is removed from prohibition its goint to reduce the cost of this so called war on drugs by about 50%.

Factor in the tax $ collected through industrial hemp and it should more then cover the rest of the war on drugs. Breaking even doesnt sound too bad IMO.

Our government will never ever allow those drugs to be legal on our streets.
NEVER, say never //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Honestly though, those drugs DONT belong on the street and are a plague. However, spending $50+ billion of taxpayers money a year on them makes me wonder. At the very least, the cost/benefit ratio needs to be re-evaluated because the percentage of people getting arrested, ect is only increasing so obviously something inst working correctly.

Probably because the government doesnt like mexicans & black people. I mean, they are majority of those going to jail for marijuana charges. I guess if some people arnt going to be productive enough to their liking & dont produce a decent amount of tax $ for them, they'll just jail them and collect those fees. As long as they get their cut //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I dont think anyone needs to be in jail for weed charges, its a waste of tax $ and peoples time. Both in & out of jail.

Truth is, oil based products (ie. plastic) can be made from hemp. Paper, clothing, pressed wood, ect. Here's this thing for anyone willing to watch: Skip the 1st 2min.

they have it enacted as of right now anyways.

its a zero tolerance policy. if you test positive for marijuana while driving a car, its a DUI (a few states, i believe 10 or so, wont use this law because they know its BS).

well thc stays in the body a long time after its used. needless to say people have gotten DUI's because they smoked 2 weeks prior to being pulled over...

if they were to legalize it wouldnt they need a way to test on spot? Breathalyzer for drinking, but how do you charge a marijuana DWI without a positive test?
Good question, and I have no idea. George is right though, the average person will have it in their system for at least 2 weeks, the chunkier you are the longer. So 4-6weeks is even normal.

As for how? no idea. If they stop wasting so much **** $$, im sure they can come up with something.
