im lookin at 2 10's for a setup....woud u go, two type r tens, or two kicker L5 tens? it will be glassed and all.

PS. thats the subs ive found in my price range, that i kno can get loud, and its on a 1001bd rockford....old skool black ones.

L5's would be louder but I've never really heard type r's and do not know about their SQ

what coil would i need dual in to have a 2 ohm final load? wouldnt i have to have SVC 4? or dual 8? hmmmm what are some options guys? which do u think would be better in a small truck? i want loud.....but do the L5's respond decently? im lookin to buy here soon.

Two SVC4's would work as well as two DVC8's. either way you can get a final two ohm load with both.

That is correct and BTW, Crutchfield has the L5 10s on sale for $110 a piece. If you have an order $199 or more you get free shipping. Quite a deal if you ask me.

gues im gunna go with the kickers...for the fact that i want loud. what size are they reccomended for, and what tuning frewquency should they go to. i wanna be able to crank up the volume and still listen without a worry of bottoming out the sub at low frequencies (i know this does with power as well, but to take care of that, i have a 1001bd, which should match up quite nicely. let me know!

yah, i kinda figured that one, but i thought maybe alpine could put a couple more out in the right enclosure. but anyways.....kicker L5's or 4 RE12's
