There are other perfectly good drivers in that price range - Shivas, Type R's, Comp VR's, others come to mind, and I've heard most of 'em. The O will kick those drivers in the dust for SQ, but since those other ones can be ported, they have the output advantage. But as you said output wasn't a big concern...

this could be a very cool sub to own i suppose.... i could probably construct a decent sealed box myself too, maybe even do some custom shyt and have it pointing straight up in my car from the spare well... mm. fiberglass maybe. mmm dont know how to glass ... yet...

there's an MK IV shiva for sale in the CA Classifieds for $90 shipped. That might be neat too.

As for output, in 1.5 sealed versus 3ft^3 ported for the Shiva its definetly a win.
