Maybe a used Type R...you should be able to find last year's models...

i was thinking about getting a used Type R 05... that would be nice. or even new, wouldn't be too far over my budget. but i know they are much more of an SPL oriented driver. a friend of mine has pushed a single Type R to 150 or so, lots of experience with the 05 Type R and says the SQ isn't amazing, but that it is very well built...

no. SQ i guess, but leaning towards SQL. i've had my share of loud, horrible sounding bass in my car in the past... and as much as a real high end SQL-oriented driver can kick... for now i just want the bliss of SQ...

anyway the Profile bridged is supposed to give 600 @ 4 ohms, so i'll say it will give 500. so i'd rather get a nice SQ driver, and push it a bit.
