Are you going to wear that cute poka-dot bikini that Mark got you? Or the one-piece that Wonderbread sent you for your birthday?
go one piece, don't want to use that see'through 2 piece too much now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Let me tell ya a quick story about the hillbilly's in my new neighborhood. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif A friend came over to have me take a look at his system in his car. Everything kept cutting in and out on him. ( fuse holder under the hood was loose ) As we were finishing up and listening, one of my new neighbors approached us. Started chit chatting with the guy, he seemed pretty cool. He asked if I could take a look at the amp he just installed in his truck. He said it would work for a little while. But the wiring got so hot, it was glowing red. He said he didn't have that problem with his smaller amp he installed a couple of months before. He said he would buy my friend an I a sixer for our troubles. Me being the stand up red blooded american male I am, couldn't pass up free beer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif So I said sure man, bring your truck on up here. About 5 minutes later he was back with his truck. Which by the way, is a freakin' awesome a$$ 04' Lightning. After I got done wiping the drool from my chin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I asked him to show me the wiring. So he proceeds to climb up under the truck. Well I got down on the ground so he could show me his fine work. He drilled about a 2" hole in the floorboard of the truck behind the drivers seat to pass the wire through. No grommet, silicone or anything just a wide open hole. But it get's better, the only wire I see going into this hole is a little black wire that was no more than 14-16 ga. So I asked him where was the power wire for this amp. He said that's the power wire feeding both of them :O I told him that was his problem. If he would like I would go ahead and rewire them for him with the proper gauge wire. He asked how much it would cost. I told him I would do it for nothing, I allready had the wire. And I would hate to see such a beautiful truck burn to ashes. He said he would sure appreciate it, and we could think of some way for him to repay the favor. So he popped the hood. And I climbed up under the hood to start taking the wire loose. I d@mn near pissed my pants when I looked under the hood. There was a house (120v ) 100amp circut breaker duct taped to the side of the battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif After a few stifled chuckles, I proceeded to unwrap the 4000' of electrical tape wrapped around the wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Nothing could prepare me for what I saw next. The little 14-16 ga. wire I had seen earlier was nothing more than a coat hanger with electrical tape wrapped around it. :thumbsup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
That's just hilarious. I know I wouldn't have been able to finish fixing the problem. I'd wouldn't even be able to look at the person without laughing. And I thought it was funny when my brother threw away the black wire that came with his amp kit saying that it was stupid that they would include a long power wire and a short one that wouldn't even make it to the fire wall from the battery.

way to take charge :thumbsupw

Good thing you helped him out otherwise his truck would have been no more, I would tell him that he owes you his truck for that. Otherwise it would have burnt to a crisp anyways.

Me: 32 extra hot. Not bad for a little 150 pound guy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
