so is that the reason that Elemental went to flat cones?? I am assuming so.

Originally posted by joshpoints Are there any disadvantages to a flat cone? There must be some reason why most companies do not use the flat cone.
probably because they are afraid of change, or they just dont know that there are more advantages than the conventional cone.

im sure that some companys dont change to it because they consider it ugly...and we all know that some companies thrive off of their subs looking good.....(audiomobile, lol steve)....

I had a set of the PPI pistons for about a day. I brought them back, because i had the wrong enclosure for them. (way too small, and sealed)

Well look at the cone on the w6v2 and w7....They sound good, but to be honest I wouldnt pay that much for the w7 when you can get the w6v2 for about 300$-500$ less and get almost identical output with everything the same..

Anybody heard audiophile I think thats how its spelt? Heard its a new company from here in germany, but havnt seen anything on them.

i definitely agree. i'd rather get 2 w6v2s and install them perfectly than get a w7...w6v2s are also just amazing drivers.

there is only a 13.5 w6v2.

oh yea, and does anyone else hate how JL makes these funky wiring configurations? pisses me off...its like burton snowboards have their own type of binding screw configuration so that you have to buy THEIR bindings. b/c sometimes you have to get the JL amps...

Hey bro, yea thats what I was getting at....so they made a 15w6 and stopped...as far as the 15 goes....so when the 15w7 comes out if anyone can afford it around here...will be hitting some high numbers....probably be matched with a 1000.1 and see somthing like a 145db pretty easy....IM gonna guess it will be about 1300$ for it....if not 1500$

Yeah, companies that do that are GAY!

Like the cannondale "head shok" it sucked, and you had to an expensive head tube "conversion" to make a normal fork fit it.
